We collect minimal information to operate the service:

Usage Data: When you spin the roulette wheel, the food result is anonymously counted to power our "Today's Popular" rankings. No personally identifiable information is attached to these counts.
Log Data: Like most websites, our hosting provider (Bluehost) automatically records standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, referring pages, and timestamps. This data is used for security and performance analysis only.
Local Storage: We use your browser's localStorage to remember cookie choices, food preferences, spin statistics and saved meal plans across visits. You can clear these records using your browser's site-data controls; clearing them also removes saved plans.

Contact Form Data

When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message. This data is processed by Formspree, a third-party form handling service.

Google Analytics and advertising tags stay off until you select Accept optional cookies. Selecting Reject optional cookies keeps those tags off. You can still read the guides, use the calculator, spin Food Roulette and play the Balance Game.

If you accept, these Google services can use cookies and process usage data, including pages visited and device and network information. See Google's Privacy Policy. Advertising settings are also available at Google Ads Settings.

Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page to change your choice. Turning these tags off reloads the page and removes accessible first-party Google Analytics cookies. It does not erase information already sent to Google or cookies controlled by other domains.

We store your choice in this browser's local storage. Food tool preferences and saved meal plans also use local storage. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice may need to be made again on another page or visit. Clearing site data resets these preferences. With JavaScript disabled, the optional tags do not load.

This control concerns the optional Google tags. Requests needed to load the site, submit a contact form or use server-backed food rankings and game results still reach the services described on this page.

5. Data Retention

Anonymous spin count data is reset every day at midnight (US Eastern Time) and permanently deleted. Server log data is retained for up to 30 days as required by our hosting provider.

Our site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
